Just clicking the “Like” button, seems so inadequate - but we have them there to keep threads from getting too cluttered…
I’ll just post this on behalf of all GT40s.com members::
Your relentless search for originality is simply off-the-charts…. Absolutely phenomenal work James!
Thank you for sharing your efforts here!

Those Kenlowe fans are lying refreshed but I am not too keen with the silver idea as seen on a few original car restorations so I might strip the cases again and revert to black.

More post '65 Kenlowe type plates in pro' (curiously not just an address change but the original fonts between the two types are different).

I received a message from an old friend this morning who reminded myself of making a couple of accurate steering rack casting patterns.
This 2-piece and cored R/H pattern just needed fillets and numbering at the time.

Tidying up again today and I dug out some old woodwork of mine which required a tad more precision than above. From 1980's

Wow! Very nice!! As a gift to one of my sisters, I built a simple Dulcimer about 30 years ago and thought that was quite the challenge!

James, Your level of knowledge with these cars amazes me. Were these fitted to the road cars only? where are they fitted and how do they get released once the body has been closed.
Every day is a school day. Cheers.

Regards Ryan.
I don't know if it was only road cars. Most intelligent racers avoided them however and used pins.

They were actuated in two different ways.
The pair in my photo are linked with a bar between them and operated with one push of a T lever in the roof slot.

The other type was operated individually and they poked through each side of the B pillar bulkhead. These particular units had to be extended and were modified thus :

Is this where there is the small rectangular hole in the rear centre edge of the roof?
Is this why there is that extra internal rib inside the roof skin in this section, to help guide and contain this bar?
