Hedrick Speedsports; GT40 Active Power Cars build

I bought one, and could use it, but to fit the tunnel, I would need to trim the width of the base down. But I also had an OEM 2000 or so Dodge neon or dart shifter that's steel and narrower that I decided to use because it leaves room for brake, clutch and throttle cables passing under it.

It's quite ugly and instead of pretty clear anodized aluminum, it's stamped steel with a light patina of rust. But it'll hidden.

This one is mass produced aftermarket stuff, but it is sufficiently heavy CNC aluminum with steel pivots and bearings where you would want. I was quite surprised (impressed) with the appearance and heft. It feels great and has plenty of adjustments.

I'm sure a local machine shop could make a one off and it would cost 50X, but wouldn't be any better. But just for peace of mind, I would lock-tite and torque the bolts that hold it together.
