They are working their way downhill. The top bid price has steadily decreased over the past six years. With the Kar-Kraft continuation cars (J-13 to J19) and the new Riley/Kar-Kraft cars (j20 and up) you can purchase a proper MK IV (albeit not a 60's build) for the same or less. Hell, my friend has TWO KK continuation MK IVs, one red, one blue that are available with a title and complete history.

That said, I know Peter P. and Jose V. and knew Jim before his passing, and all are straight up good guys. The market will speak.

J3 is owned by Nick Soprano in White Plains NY. J3 was the test mule after J2 failure (Ken Miles accident). J1 was destroyed in stress test. J3 and J4 the rear clip opens forward. The only two JCars missing are J1 and J2. J11 and J12 tubs were not serialized by Kar Kraft. All the spare parts were sold a gone to england

Weren't J1 and J2 destroyed? J2 destroyed in the Ken Miles crash and J1 destroyed by Kar Kraft piling weight onto it during the investigation of the crash? I know Jim Glickenhaus said this in a forum post from 2004.

Honestly, the car did not have a great history as a can-am car, was never really successful. Peter basically confirmed this is a replica posing as a original car with history. The car was wrecked, parts were lost, there are rumors the tub was completely scrapped and a new chassis was made. The documentation is minimal, and what's there your not really able to authenticate ect........

Don't get me started on Wayne, he was brought in because he has enough bull shit only he could sell it. Acting like this car is so special. Don't get me wrong it looks like a nice car with some really nice parts, but I would rather have a Riley Kar-Kraft continuation car.

I spent over an hour looking over Riley's continuation car, and that car is really nice. Very well made, and accurate, and they will fully support the car.

I thought he made it sound like a kit car or replica at best. That isn’t the only car out there like that. But with enough money you can buy whatever history you need. I am not against a kit car or replica, but represent it for what it is. If you were to do research on this site there is other such problems with a couple of other cars. I myself am building a RCR Lola T70mk3b REPLICA. No matter how much money I throw at it, it will never be a real car or a continuation car. It’s just plain a REPLICA and that’s how it will be represented. But that’s just my opinion, others will have their own.
