Dash, installing vents?

Dash vent valves, how to attach them properly?
Want to be able to replace them if needed.
Otherwise i could just glue them in.

Would love to hear how you did and a picture would help a long way
I'll add a pic of mine for starters.

The originals had them bolted to the base of the A pillars/chassis underneath and the dash just pushes up to meet them.
If you are using the original style Mk IV Zephyr or even slightly latter Cortina/Falcon/Escort units then you could replicate this mounting. I guess you also need to consider how they are plumbed and how you will connect all the plumbing. Do you want to be able to do this before or after the dash and windscreen goes in?

Picture sowing the original style vents and their retaining rings. Dash simply fits over the front and doesn't actually hold the vents in place.

Ah, that is quite an improvement fitment wise.
Not sure I can pull that off with the current setup though.
Thanks for the images, will try and see what can be done.
