Abbey Panels chassis plate

Amazing thank you for support.

Pic attached.. I’m not stopping until every rivet has been removed to reveal the chassis and find this blessed number. I’ve been mulling over what the story would have looked like for the individual who purchased this dream many years ago. Everything considered, including the box of tricks I was handed last weekend with the fuel caps, radiator, rear mesh for engine compartment, Shelby heads all brand new in the box, let alone the £0000,00’s spent on the engine strapped in the back, it’s not possible in my mind not to consider buying it without a vin.

It has to be there somewhere!!!!.. Sat is GT day, if I have to start stripping the back so be it.

The front is stripped, I need to clean it and check each cross member and sign it off as checked.( not much left to resemble an icon)

(That fibre glass insert has also been removed)

Anymore thoughts will be massively appreciated

Thanks

Mark

The ali panels in the front wheel wells might be a mix of rivets and Sikaflex bonded. This made them more water tight. Can't remember the precise detail now but do recall how messy Sikaflex can be if not careful!
