Superlite Le Mans

My '71 Lola Indycar (street-legal) has a wiper. It is a small hand-operated crank handle, just inside the relatively nonfunctional plastic windscreen. I actually have the handle discretely safety-wired down, to prevent the wiper from moving up at high speeds, but it is present never-the-less. It looks antique, like a Model T. Totally worthless, but legal.

When you are driving an Indycar on the street, the wiper is the least of your wories!

Put a helmet on!

The Superlite Le Mans looks like another exciting and fantastic car from RCR!

Any updates on this car? I woke up this morning and the "Le Mans" is all I could think about. Edit: This happens more often than what would be considered, healthy!

...Dreaming about an LS376 powered car with the half windscreen, dark silver with a single wide dark red stripe down the center with a pin stripe on each side, the stripes on the dash in leather, GT40 style stripes on the sides, gumballs (is that what theyre called???) for numbers, etc...


Fran, I know youre extremely busy with the race car (and a company to run), but I was wondering if we here could get some more car porn (pics!!!!:thumbsup.

Fran, will the Le Mans have provisions for the Viper V10 motor?

Just kidding! I'm really excited to see the final design myself. Being 6'5", I think I'm just a bit too tight in the SL-C (w/ a helmet). I also wonder what a full cage would look like in it? And I wonder how Fran is going to hinge the doors??? Is the windscreen going to be framed? What about the radiator air flow? Will the air tumble into the open cockpit?

Lots of questions... Curious to hear the answers!

Viper I asked those exact questions as they are the MAJOR concerns with Ultima Can Am owners. I don't remember who but a SL-C owner actually split the radiator and put them in front of the wheel wells on the front of the car and than vented them to the side (i believe) so you might be best of contacting him and following his build to avoid any HOT days in the car. Outside of that CALL Fran as he is super helpful and always answers any and all questions even to non owners. Actually his support of his product is second to none so just call.

I am very aware of tge support he gives. He's helped me quite a bit with the issues that I'm having with my SLR. I wasn't aware of the split radiator system. That seems to be an excellent idea.

Oh, and the heat.... I don't think it really matters. It's something you learn to live with in Las Vegas.

That is my car, and I have my AC condensers under the headlights. Although I think there is enough space to cool at least 400hp in that location if you made radiators for that space(need to do the math to really know what it will cool). This is not a RCR option.

To further clarify Rob's post for Trader, Rob also split the radiators and placed them in front of each rear wheel. They are each fed by the side scoops behind the doors. Also, to note, Rob's car is about 6 feet wider than any other SL-C after he fabricated a widebody rear for his car. If he hadn't, I'd doubt the ability to place large enough radiators in that space to sufficiently cool any motor making real power.
