Superlite GTA

Crank walk does happen, and there are a number of reasons of why it might happen. In the end you can do a number of things to lessen your chance of getting it. 6bokt engines were produced from 90-92, but from a fundamental racing aspect the 7bolt shines in a few areas the 6bolt doesn't (factory main girdle, lighter crank, better velocity head, cam AND crank sensor, etc). Both engines are great, and I think the CW thing is a bit overhyped.

All 95-99 engines are 7bolts, and engines produced for the '99 model year had a revised thrust bearing.

Would you say that the 99 model year would be "best case scenario"?

Mr. Wolfe

Again not necessarily and also, the presumption is that the carbon fibre would give before something that would make steel look like a mangled mess.

This is all presuming the person creating the carbon fibre piece has done their home work, wet/dry, etc. Do I trust most of the aftermarket designed CF pieces to have done their homework? No.... someone like Dymag, yes.

For example, people who constantly say that CF wheels are dangerous are very misguided.

Thanks for the list Fran. One more question, are we using the entire mid-section of the donor chassis and bolting up the front and rear chassis provided by you?

Yes...the complete cabin from A pillar to B pillar is used.....templates will be provided to make the trimming process easy.

The front and rear chassis bolts to existing oem mounting points plus other holes that will need to be drilled also....
Pagani and many other super cars plus almost every single Le Mans race car use bolted sub frames, and the Apex is no different...with a well engineered approach strength and reliabilty is never going to be an issue....

That actually EXCITES me more than anything. Strength was not my concern. What does excite me is not retrofitting the dash and everything into an entirely new chassis. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Thank you.

AWD, Fran?

WAAAY cool....or, does "Spyder" refer to a topless version perhaps?

When I think of Spyder, I think of the AWD Talon and the GS-X versions of the Eclipse.

That is an exciting concept...one I didn't give much chance for...U da MAN, Fran!..wink!

Cheers from Doug!!

Spyder means convertible...

only AWD if you install pedals and a chain drive to the front wheels Mr. Flintstone

"One you didnt give much chance for"...what do you mean?
