SPF exhaust with clam open

Anyone with an SPF have any idea(s) or attempted to deflect the exhaust with the rear clam open with engine running; shields, temporary add on pipes, high temp hose, etc...? Would make tuning a bit more convenient.

2x2 alu angle welded formed alu to fit through the rear of the clam when open. With out much effort it could be improved.
I made this and use it when synchronizing Borla injection.

Thanks Bill that helps.
Another question, how did you mount the heat shield on the clam shell, above the mufflers? Looks like it stands off the surface an inch or two? Am thinking of doing the same to protect the shell.

Yes it does, about 1/2 inch with 10-32 rivnuts and screws. and sort of an overlap with a piece bolted to the back of the intake manifold
