Thanks James, how does the release rod get installed up into the roof section so that you can release it from the small rectangular hole in the center of the rear of the roof?

I can see the rod coming down and entering the side of the slam catch in this photo.

Also note the rear accelerator cable attachment, the braded heat shield, the slight downward bend in the end of tray above the intakes, and the marks in the white stripe on the roof return as well as the dings in the flanges and slam catch mounts.

Trying to work out if this is 104 or 103.

Look at the rear engine side of the B-pillar above the window and you will see the rod traversing the top between the two haunches and at the same time the "T" handle poking through the roof hole.
The rear of P1036 on Concept Cars.com has a good photo illustration. FYI - incidentally it was Fran Kress's car.

Time to work out the details for the rear body work mounting frame. So collecting all the photos into an appropriate folder so i can flick through them easily with less noise and I see this one.
Some good details of the rear body mounts of what I think is 104.
Then in the background I notice the release rod for the slam catches poking out.



The keg under the car and the damaged paint work in the white stripe seems to match it to 104.

Just noticed the quick release for the brake pads as well. Same style as used on the 4 piston callipers on 1046, only this is the single piston version on the rear of GT104!

Also the eccentric mounting of the ring where the rear clip sits. I assume the nut was loosened and the rear clam shell adjusted and then the nut snugged up to hold the position.

More details to ponder
 
Updated the rear clam shell slam catches thread. Finding the catches and getting them cleaned up and converted into CAD is what i have been working on. Few hours in that and I am still not done.

 
As mentioned in one of the other threads. I have enrolled in a Tig welding introduction course. This is the Augmented reality training rig that they start us on. Probably saved me from having to grind a number of tungsten rods

It appears I have been side tracked from this for too long. Need to work out what I was doing last, I was hoping that I had something here to remind me?
I think it was working out the rear support structure for GT103.

I did finish the 4 week Tig welding course and really enjoyed that.
