I am in progress of applying for FIA HTP certification for my Mark II GT40(recreation). I have run into some difficulties related to the roll cage system. Some of the feedback I have received from FIA, states that the roof section, and the B pillar on a Mk1 is stronger than on a Mark 2. I find this strange , as I was of the belief that the B-pillar/roof section was similar on Mk2/Mk1. If anyone on the forum have some knowledge related to this, that can be documented, it would be greatly appreciated
