MK IIB chasdis modifications

Hello all,
I am currently restoring a GT40 MK IIB (replica).
The car is not bad but I think some of the features on the chassis are not as per original and I would like to make it as proper as possible.
I have looked at a lot of pictures in the forum and on the World Wide Web but most of the pictures obviously show more MK IIA chassis than MK IIB.
At the moment I would like to have as much infos as possible (together with pictures) of the behind the sit bulkhead.
What are the modifications carried in 1967 to transform the MK IIA to MK IIB?
If any one could help would be great.
Thanks, Davide

Can you post some pictures of the chassis, the differences between the MKIIA and MKIIB are many.

Hello, sorry for the late reply but I have been away.
The car was built by Kenny Thompson as written in one of the threads in forum.
I will send you some pictures as it is now and if you could help me out saying what it should be modified and such would be great

Here some pictures of the chassis now

Hi Davide,

I would certainly call that a MKIIB tub.

On most MKII chassis there was a vertical bulkhead panel with a rectangular access hole.

It looks like you may be missing the MKIIA stiffening on the front suspension mounts.

Did this chassis have a T44? The rear horse collar should be modified at the bottom (cut out and drop crossmember installed) to accommodate.

Overall it looks pretty close. Was it made by Kenny Thompson?
