GTD steering joint source?

I was about to fit my steering column yesterday (triumph dolomite column) when I noticed the intermediate shaft didn't have a steering u/j, rather a steering joint that doesn't allow such an acute angle. The mgb rack to intermediate shaft has a u/j that allows the shaft to move but I need another u/j. does anyone in the UK know what type of u/j will fit the splines?
many thanks

Simon
ps, this is the type of thing I have STEERING JOINT UJ LOWER on eBay, also, Triumph, Classic Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 14-Feb-09 09:10:44 GMT)

Yes that was a bit sore!

I got 2 of those plus 2 non splined for the gear shift and the credit card did groan a bit!

Simon,
received a merlin motorsport catalogue today, if you really really wanted to hurt your pocket, you could get their 'compact and lightweight' joint for £105.20, it's not gold plated though, oh, and add on VAT too.

I was lead to believe all the splines are the same on steering columns - but who that came from I cannot remember as it was ages ago!

The LR part is certainly a better price!
