Yes - an each way bet on Hamilton and Massa would be a bit of fun. Heidfeld could be in the reckoning as well. I might just put a pony, on the nose, on Massa, and a ton on Hamilton e/w.

Bernie Ecclestone has taken control of the Istanbul Park circuit and guaranteed the future of the Turkish Grand Prix for the next 15 years.
The Formula 1 ringmaster announced the deal at a press conference on Friday at the Hermann Tilke-designed venue, which is hosting a round of the MotoGP championship this weekend.
Ecclestone will take over the management rights to Istanbul Park and has pledged that the race will be on the F1 calendar until at least 2021.
Explaining his decision to take such a close personal involvement in the event, Ecclestone reaffirmed his belief that F1 must have a foothold in a range of emerging markets.
“F1 needs to be in this part of the world,” he said.
“This is the best circuit in the world without any doubt.
“I am very proud of what has been built here in Turkey and it has opened people’s eyes worldwide to what can happen in Turkey.
“This is not a profitable investment for me, it is honestly the worst deal I have ever been in.
“If you ask why we are still in, I would say that Istanbul Park is the best race track in the world, that I believed in Istanbul and that it would bring advantages in the long term.
“It is like going to China: Everyone thought I was stark raving mad to take F1 to China but we needed to be there and that is also the case for Turkey.”
Istanbul Park joined the F1 calendar in 2005 and was immediately acclaimed as the best of the new breed of circuits, boasting a challenging layout as well as state-of-the-art facilities.
However, the event’s future was jeopardised after the prize-giving ceremony following last year’s grand prix ignited a political furore, landing the organisers with a potentially crippling $5 million fine.

I think they should put a a peg and a piece of cardboard running in the spokes to let the marshalls here them coming. It's just dumbing for the sake of the carbon footprint. In two words , f--king unbelievable.

I think we should have an expletives code on the forum similar to the Falcon code we used in the RAF. for example
FALCON 109 = UNBE(fword)ING BELIEVABLE.

We used it primarily for handovers and sitreps to another maritime patrol aeroplane crew coming 'on task' and relieving us so we could go 'off task' and home. It often relayed more about our previous 10 hour stint staring at the ocean than all the fancy codewords that NATO used at the time.

P.S. Diesel in F1 for me is fine. In Europe now more then 50% of the cars are Diesel. Better efficiency, lower consumption and higher torque.
If this happens, everybody shall redesign his transmission and a lot of new R&D will be made. All that shall be added with an obbligatory system for energy recycling during braking. All the other technology which can not be used in normal production shall be banned, like pneumatic valve springs and similar solutions made in order to allow a rev increasment which is the contrary of what is happening in production. The brakes shall go to ceramic ( already on some production cars ) and not anymore in carbon fiber. The clutches as well shall be closer to the standard production. Why developping items without a mass issue.
Competition first target is to test pioneer solution for future production.
