It cranked over tonight... Clutch doesn't want to seem to move much..

I didn't build my car, but you may have some issues with the ac lines running behind the tires. Talk to allan
Congrats on your go-kart!
What was the problem with your clutch?
I would imagine that the police would have a problem with that.. No light, signals or other DOT required items. Impound yard here you come....
Wow, right on. Weather warmed right up there in MN eh? Must be above 20F to be all out in shorts and stuff
Big day, congrats.
Ok...so for the rest of us .... What caused the hose to let go ?
P.s. Your progress is an inspiration!!!
Well Eric way to go you've got that baby running, good deal. Nothing like cheating the law around the neighborhood. Looks like your neighbor was having a good time too. Its that fast? Love to hear that! Keep us all in touch with your build...Thank you for your post.
Ever see that hilarious scene in fast and furious QUOTE]
Haha, I remember that. Those films are lot listed as "comedy", but there are A LOT of scenes that qualify :stunned:
I think it was a combination of needing more bleeding and possibly being mildly stuck, it popped out when i drove it a few miles. The clutch works a lot better if I pump the pedal, again telling me I need to bleed more.
Good thing that I know most of the officers and 2 of them live in my neighborhood... oh, and I waved to one (Sheriff's officer) as I drove by, he was in his yard fixing up his tractor.
Yea, shorts and sandals weather... Suns out, guns out! LOL
Thanks Bob, I think it's part of two things that went wrong. It wasn't tight enough and it wasn't fully seated on the outlet tube. I cinched it back up and took it for a multi-mile drive, no incident.
Yes, it's really THAT fast. I'm putting around the neighborhood at maybe 20'ish in 2nd gear and blip the throttle and it's breaks loose like a wet cat.
Ever see that hilarious scene in fast and furious where they press the nitrous button and everything becomes all cartoony warp speed looking? Well, when you're that close to the ground... that's EXACTLY what it felt like. Totally dope.
FYI, I was getting some bleed down on my clutch, so I had to pump it up occasionally. The master cylinder is almost the same height as the slave, so I installed a 2lb residual valve in the clutch line as well.
How much horsepower is your LSX motor pushing out?
