Hey Ross. A red car with stripes wasn't a big enough phallic symbol for you? You had to erect an enormous microphone in the background too? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1poke.gif

Ok Chris you will no doubt believe I've taken it to excess, when you see the ute towing the GT40 with stripes as well then.Yep There's a big banana, pineapple, sheep, oyster etc and Ross has the big Microphone. Was that a play on words in your last sentence?

I just couldn't help myself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Incidentally. Great looking ute. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif ...and the exact same red as the '40 I imagine?

Good on ya Pete. I just thinking to myself that a 6 pot Ute is a bit girly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1poke.gif. I hope it's not an auto Ross.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1poke.gif

Mine has the right number of cylinders. Possibly the wrong badge for some........... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flamer.gif

Ross, how come it took you nearly a year to post these pics up ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lurk.gif

Looks great. I keep dreaming of an F150 Lightning, but the price of petrol keeps me sane /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Ouch Tim yes its a slush box auto.I'm getting old.The girly 6 is a bit tough on me though.Actually it's got 182kw, more than my old XR8 and it tows ok so get off my back you guys.anyway at least it's a Ford and not a Holden (the enemy).Actually Tim seeing as how you have a foot in the GM camp did it occur to you a Gen3 may have fitted your GT40 and sailed through the emmissions process, I wonder.I know Cobra owners are fitting non Ford engines but I think a GT40 should only ever have a Ford V8 in it.Shoot me down if you disagree.
John the reason it took me nearly 12 months to post these pics is that they went into the roundtuit
basket. Now how do you take that damn date off the camera pics?

The ONLY correct tow vehicle for a GT40 is a 1963 Ford Econoline, white with blue sill stripes painted on (by hand, with a brush and masking tape) and a Tolemans single axle trailer....like the one FAV used! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twocents.gif

The throbing power of a massive 170 CID six cylinder straining against the weight of the trailer and a '40 while climbing a hill is not to be underestimated. And even more fun with a LHD truck in a RHD country! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banana.gif

I'm with you Ross, gotta love the XR6 - although mine is the Turbo version, 240kw.

It's a pretty good tow vehicle too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Forget the utes I would like to know more about the trailer please what brand or make is it please is it a Aussie trailer.

This repley is from gods piece of Australia where we have NO speed limit and a great working relationship with the Motor Vehicle Standards Deptment. (Yahoo)

I must say Tim that it is refreshing to see someone who appreciates the limitations of his choice of tow vehicle and chooses a trailer within that vehicles capabilities.
Cheers Jack.
