Electric A/C compressor

I know this subject has been discussed a few times on this forum, but most of those posts were some time ago. If you guys don't mind, could I re-start this discussion.

Rather than fitting an A/C compressor on the side of the engine and driving it from the crankshaft pulley, I am looking at fitting the car with an electrically driven A/C compressor.

Pros:
I could locate it at the front of the vehicle.​
Refrigerant lines would be much shorter; they don't have to run the length of the car.​

Cons:
Draws a lot of current; circa 90A at full chat.​
Needs a big alternator - I'm planning to install 200A+ unit anyway as I have an electric water pump.​

Anyway, has anyone taken this route themselves? Do you have any electric compressors you could recommend? There must be plenty of 2nd hand units from EVs. There are also new units available. Here is an example. And another
 
I just finished such a system on my air-cooled P 911. I like it! Your pros and cons are correct.

The compressors are not too hard to find...I think that version is commonly used. Having a proper ECU to manage the system performance is critical, I think. I put the compressor in the front and used new condensers/evaporator and shorter hoses. It is lighter, it moved the weight up front away from the drivetrain, and it gives much better performance. I was able to cobble up this system myself (other than vacuum testing and filling it with refrigerant).

Vím, že toto téma bylo na tomto fóru opakovaně diskutováno, ale většina těchto příspěvků byla před časem. Pokud vám to nevadí, mohl bych obnovit tuto diskuzi.

Spíše než namontovat kompresor klimatizace na stranu motoru a pohánět jej z řemenice klikového hřídele se snažím osadit auto elektricky poháněným kompresorem klimatizace.

Pro:
Mohl jsem to najít na přední části vozidla.​
Vedení chladiva by bylo mnohem kratší; nemusejí běžet na délku auta.​

nevýhody:
Odebírá hodně proudu; cca 90A při plném chatu.​
Potřebuje velký alternátor - každopádně plánuji nainstalovat jednotku 200A+, protože mám elektrické vodní čerpadlo.​

Mimochodem, vydal se někdo sám touto cestou? Máte nějaké elektrické kompresory, které byste mohli doporučit? Musí tam být spousta kusů z druhé ruky z EV. K dispozici jsou také nové jednotky. Zde je příklad . A další
ahoj ja pouzivam klasiku kompresor mam na leve strane motoru a dopredu to vedu hadicema po leve strane .Mamto uz sest let a nemam s tim zadny problem. to s tou elektrikou by nedelal.
 
I really like the idea. My battery is located at the front and would mean a very short run of HD cable to power it.
