Hello fellow enthusiasts and builders. I have lingered around the forums on and off for the better part of a decade and recently made an account. I have read a lot about building a GT40 but in a lot of posts say that to do it in Canada is quite the process and extremely difficult.
So that’s where I’m at currently. Waiting to hear back from certain government “officials”. But whenever I do figure out the route I will be doing it. I know you’re not able to buy a “kit”. But you can buy certain parts. To my knowledge it seems the only parts you can’t buy with the “kit” is suspension components which really isn’t the end of the world. Most kits seem to have aluminum control arms with heim joints.
So in the mean time I am slowly picking up some parts. I’m looking for a reasonable transaxle. I’ve heard some people use a Porsche 944 transaxle, and I’m researching what it takes to mate it to a 351W.
If I ever get any cool things tot are pictures of I will be glad to share.
Cheers!
Josh
