Thanks Bob. The coaters did a really good job. Took a couple hours to wrap and seal the things (and then another hour to scrub all of the ceramic off of my skin! LOL).
If anyone reading this is local to the DFW area and needs a set of headers ceramic coated, you might want to consider them. They are Specialized Performance Coating located in Arlington.

Darrin, I always wondered what to do when you used a more modern engine. I always wondered if you could reroute the air intakes by the glass to direct air more towards the cones.
My plan is to route at least one toward a yet to be made air box to feed the intake with cool air. I may do both that way or use one to go right to my oil cooler...but that would really be overkill I think.
Is your O2 bung on the bottom when mounted?

This is very interesting. That had to take some time for sure. I'd have to come up with something slightly different as they are using the stock round throttle body. Mine is the oval Cobra Jet version. It's oval (see photo). Adds a bit to the complexity since you couldn't just run a round pipe.

Mocking up the exhaust. The collectors didn't end up as long as I'd hoped. Was wanting 18 inches but had to settle for a little over half that. That still gives me the majority of the torque increase though and better than any other setup I've seen in that respect.

Haven't made much progress since April. Have had issue after issue with the adapter and flywheel. Think that's finally sorted out and should go on the next few weeks. Final wiring should be completed by March and I hope to at least fire the engine by April.
The carpeting is about 75% complete. Professional going to finish what I started (the easy stuff). He'll cut out around the rear window and do the column. The rest is completed. Went with an automotive 20oz dark gray. Seems to match well.
That's a Schroth belt. From what I've read, as good as you get safety wise. The driver's side needs to go in too as once the seats are in place there is no way to get to the side bolts. Went with Braum seats. They are at a local upholstery shop getting shortened on top so they can fully incline should a short driver want that or you need easy access to the back panel. The passenger side also is being narrowed on the bottom a few inches. Those go in the end of January (upholstery guy I like is backed up).

Sorry for quoting such old post but wonder about the alignment of roll cage and A pillar (don't know the correct word here
) ...seems that the roll cage is leaning backwards...Is that a fact or just in the image (or even fixed mounted at the time)?

As for the adapter and flywheel, there were various things. I think they have probably been corrected by the manufacturer now. PM me for that company of you want to go that route. It was a very thin (15mm or so as I recall) adapter I went with to keep from doing what Renato had to do with the rear firewall (Tornado does the same thing).

the lower edge of the tube needs to be mounted forward of the A pillar as the doors have a large protrusion that lines up with the edge of the dash. if the A pillar had followed the line of the window frame it would go though the inside of the door when it is closed.

Have had several months setback due to flywheel/adapter. That's all sorted out now and the transaxle is in place along with the starter which operates fine. I had a local fiberglass artist (guy is really good) encase my headlight area and I built the covers so the headlights, fog lights and turn signals can be accessed as needed. At the suggestion of the guy who made it for me, I'm swapping out the shifter for a newer design next and then he'll cut the cables to size. The electrical work, which I thought was completed
at a local shop, has to be reworked substantially. Probably another three or four weeks on that. After that, the carpet gets replaced (had to rip a large part out when the wiring was redone) then the seats. If all goes as it has been of late, I should have it ready to paint in August time frame, but I've been thinking that for two years now too.
