This is one of the last MKI GT40 cars built by GT40 North America. It used carbon fiber extensively in the body and interior. It came out of the famous 600 car John O'Quinn collection and only has 290 miles on it. Since this car was in a collection it has never been registered and is still on the MSO, its virtually in the wrapper! This car is in exceptional condition and would make a nice daily driver or weekend fun car.
These cars were manufactured in Indianapolis as turn key cars ready to roll. The body and interior dash and console used carbon fiber extensively. This is one of the later cars produced and utilized more carbon fiber and has been well finished under the front hood unlike some of the earlier cars I've seen. The 392/485 HP engine was specifically made for this car and supplied by ROUCHE. The transmission is the one you want, a ZF 5-speed manual. There is of course air conditioning and full instrumentation.
At the 2004 SEMA show in Las Vegas SONY awarded the GT40 MKI by GT40 North America the their "Best Domestic Automobile" award. The build cost on these were high due to the high quality of materials used and had a MSRP of over $125,000.00 so very few were produced. We are asking a very reasonable $89,975.00. If your looking for a very rare and hard to find car built to the highest standards then this car deserves a look. If you have any questions feel free to contact me via e-mail or at (714) 535-8555.
