Hello everyone, I am currently rebuilding my 302 engine which will produce a torque of 500 N.m. Torque currently have a UN1 gearbox and I don't want to change everything to install a different gearbox. What can I do to this gearbox to handle the new, more powerful torque? Or is there another gearbox that can be installed without making major modifications to the car? I have a MK1 GTD.

On my GTD I am now looking to swap my renault UN1 to a ZFQ. Will take a bit of time due to the cost but once done I will be selling my Renault box which has the Derek Bell conversion input shaft, the Chris Cole tall 5th gear and a Quaife ATB diff all fitted. I will very likely be changing my Southern GT rear end (Renault version) for the ZFQ version so would also have available all Southern GT to GTD chassis upgrade (massively better handling), rose jointed suspension arms, engine mounts, drive shafts, clutch, exhaust and pin drive BRM rims to fit directly to your GTD.
