Jack you are right it does say alot. Safety should always be foremost in a build.
I was in this motorcycle dealership once there was a full face helmet that was split from back to front on the counter. A little sign set near it and read " If you have a $10.00 head buy a $10.00 helmet"

It was GE Lexan that I used for the screen in my own race car & I think I tried out virtually all the same tests myself in demonstrating the stuff to people that asked what it was,---bar the pistol, not allowed them in NZ-- with similar results. I am going back a few decades now.
