Sean's RCR GT40 build

I haven’t gotten to play with the GT the last few months due to the move. I needed to move it out of the garage for a storm shelter installation and thought this size comparison was crazy. Hoping to have the shop completed by next month to start getting some progress going on it again.

Question: How are you going to mount the DASH-to-frame ?
According to RCR instructions, looks like (2) x 2 screws on doorframes? Really, 4 screws, thats all? (and weather strip to spider ?)
Getting to that stage myself (last photo).

Sean,

My plan is to glue wood to the underside of the dash and then use screws under the dash deck to pull the dash down to the deck. This will ensure no rattling and flatten warped sections. I have not received my AC yet so don’t know exactly where to place the screws. Fortunately, I can make the blocks quite expansive so it will be easy to get the screws in. On the cut off ends of the dash, I will extend the wood past the edges so that I can use top down screws at the ends of the main dash.

Cheers, Randy
