New member Building a Lola T70 Mark IIIB from scratch

I am from San Antonio Texas. I am starting a recreation build of a Lola T70 mark IIIB. I have been a mechanic my whole life. I have a 1972 mgb roadster I race in CVAR and SVRA. I also have a 1968 911 and a MGB GTS wide body aluminum V8 track and street car that I built from a tub. I have wanted a Lola for some time but can not afford to buy a real one. I bought the Haynes Manuel and the Tamiya 1/12 scale model to get the measurements off of, draw the blue prints and make the tinplate's from, in order to recreate the chassis. I hope that this forum will be a good source of help in my endeavor. I reached out to Lolaparts.com for uprights and a price on a chassis and have had no response. I will post progress as i move forward this project.

Lynn, I live right up I35 in New Braunfels. I have a GT40 replica and an SLC track car. We should meet up sometime and enjoy our mutual craziness. I'm retired so just about any time is good for me.

I sent you my contact info via a direct message.

I didn’t know there was a GT40 right in my back yard?!
If you’re ever taking that thing out for a spin I’d love to check it out and pick your brain on things.
It’ll be good motivation for my scratch build.

Welcome to GT40S Lynn. Please do keep us updated with your progress. I am slowly getting a RCR Lola T70 MK3B. My health has held me back this year but hopefully next year I’ll get it.

Regards Brian
