Good morning to everyone.
I wondered if somebody could clarify the difference between the Marchal 652 and 653 lights.....
I would like to know if the glass lens' are the same or different ? Are they exactly the same size ?
I would also like to know what needs to be done to convert from fog to spot . Is it just a question of different bulbs ?
I would like to find some 652's if anybody has a pair but would go down the 653 road if suitable.
Are there any reproduction alternatives ?
Thanks I advance for any help.
Luke

The lens makes the difference between fog or spot.
Think the 653 has a yellow reflector (not a yellow lens)
The 656 has a Yellow lens.

To convert a 653 to 652 you'll need the silver reflector of a 652. The reflector holds the bulb.

Ok ....many thanks......I am not going to convert a 653 as its not really possible.
So now the real question is what are the reproduction options ?????
Any help appreciated.

The alternative I used, Ford Capri Mk1 (UK) (Not EU) spot lamps. In the pic you'll see the Fog version.
Genuine FoMoCo. Nearly identical in size.
These usually can be found for less then $100/set on ebay. Last week a set got sold for 90.

I was told somewhere the 651, 653, 656 are the same basic lense and the "fog" light. The 652 is the "spot" light which does not have all the internal lense ribbing. Not sure if that is true.
