That's me in my car at Fernley Nevada Raceway at a Western States Cobra Bash. What would you do if you found this? I'm thinking of demanding a free one. The other one is my car photoshopped onto some beach.

Very nice Howard, your car is apparently very photogenic. What have you got to lose, why not reach out to Mr. Schrader and see if he’ll at least sell you one at a serious discount… ;)

As a photographer, I’d have to tell you that the photographer has every right to take your photo and publish it as the SCOTUS (at some point in the relatively recent past) ruled that you forfeit your right to privacy when in a public place.

Yes, it is same in the UK. Public place etc..
You could politely request one or a discounted one. Looking at the price, I can't imagine a free one would be forthcoming. Certainly 'demanding' one seems likely to get a negative response.
A couple of my friends have had their cars reproduced by model companies. No permission was sought or legally required, 'the cars have been displayed in public' was the response of the model company. They did send a free model though, approx £25 retail value.

I had the same some years ago. Someone in the UK was selling prints of my car, I contacted the vendor and he sent me a print FOC

As someone who pretends to be an attorney, I am afraid legally, he can make a mint unless you have some trademark and/or copyright. Just give Ford a call and ask who got fired for not trademarking GT40...... As many have suggested, give the feeler a call, introduce yourself, and if he is a decent feller, he will surely cut you in on something. Scott t

Ya, I didn't really think I had a valid case to demand anything so I sent him a message and introduced myself as the owner and driver of the car in the picture and asked if he would consider trading me a picture for a letter giving him permission to use the picture for commercial purposes.
We will see what he says. I would like to have one. Maybe I can get him to give me a discount.
