Headlight flash handle knob

Anyone know what this white handle/knob was from? Have seen straight black ones on early cars, but have seen this white piece was on a couple of MKII's.

Does anyone have any sources for the MKll switch, as shown in the Marchal Fulgor advert so kindly provided by Rob...?

If you have access to a Car Builders Solutions catalog there is a switch that looks similar.

There is a specific metal assembly to do that that from one side clamps on the sterring arm and on top has a kind of tube to receive the flasher. Some years ago, you could find them on ebay when looking at parts for GT40 but no idea of who was selling them.

see this link :

Thank you everyone! Great info. Yes, the MK1 switch is the Volvo 1800 overdrive switch, and certainly the car builder solution and ebay stores offer very good substitutes.

I am in search of the specific switch as used on the MKll. This is different and quite unique. It is pictured in the vintage advert Rob posted/attached. As Stephane mentioned the switch housing is a 'T' shaped housing, and secured to the steering column with a hose clamp.

I have searched Ebay many times, but nothing yet.

If anyone has seen them on anything, or with a horn set, please let me know. Many thanks.

The Volvo switch is not an option. Do you really think that i went to the lengths i went to, in producing this item that works internally as the original did, without having several period alternatives in my hand. Two Volvo options included. Have you checked any fundamentals, like to start with, how long is it ?

I was more interested in the white knob version, as probably Elliot is, as shown in the first post. It seems from other pictures that this arm was attached to the column with an adhoc hose clamp affair.

If anyone has any more info on this switch, manufacturer, where it was used, one for sale, etc.....it would be greatly appreciated, by myself and many others I'm sure.

Elliot, Yes, I had seen that photo before. Keep looking for that switch but no luck. I did find a couple of Lucas knobs 317507 and 768522 that might be correct, but no switch.
