gold wheels

Hello all. Thinking about painting my Shelby Cobra 427 S/C' s wheels gold. I like the GT40/FerrariP3 gold tone... does anyone out there know the paint brand/code for the gold GT40 wheels?

Hello Randy. I joined this forum because I hope to add a gt40 to my garage someday... just got my 427 and enjoy it too much to think about exchanging, but one never knows!!
In the meantime I have come up with different ideas for my Cobra, and I have always loved those gold wheels...

I have a P4 with gpld wheels. I purchased my GT40 last spring and had the wheels painted golf. took the paint shop a few tries to get the color correct. I purchased the car from Dennis Olthoff and he had his paint shop do the work. He should be able to get the correct color code.

I know, and I need to make up my mind. There seems to be a matte gold, and medium gloss and high gloss... At the beginning I thought i liked the matte, but I think some gloss or glossy altogether may be the way to go... do you know what those original GT40s used? I'm having some one else paint them for me, and I'd hate to have to pay twice:blank:

His MKII is a replica if an Alan Mann car and sports the same two gold wheels on it that the A.M. car had.
