The restoration of this car (imo) was done so right. The patina was preserved. This car has been rolled out by ims at several cars & coffee here in Indy.

The sound is so good.

Hard to believe it’s been about 14 years since we finished restoration (almost 20 since we started!).

1032 ran with the steering wheel pad at 66 Lemans. I believe at least one other (probably Holman car?) had it.

Looks like someone removed the original duct tape from the rear view mirror though. It had survived all the way from 66 through restoration. They probably thought they were making it presentable for auction.

We returned 1032 riding on the original tires and tubes. AJ took me around Indy at about 100 MPH on them! The current team at the restoration shop didn’t trust them so much.

Someone called Jim asking for the Emberglow paint code. I guess they left the Hartwells loose during the photoshoot and the tail clip blew off again. Missed opportunity. They could have gotten some great reenactment shots!
