Ferrari 330 P4 v12

Hey everyone,
Here is few pictures of my 330 p4, this is hand build aluminum body, v12 Ferrari engine and g50 Porsche transmission.
Any tips on how to go about building the window frames with plexiglass windows. Made few mock ups but I don’t think I can do a clean enough job myself.

Hello Dee. Can’t help you with that but just wanted to say fantastic job on the car. There is a couple guys on the forum that have built their own aluminum body cars, perhaps one will chime in.

Thank you!! This is indeed a Norwood P4 and I can't take credit for the build, I've been doing a lot other things and improvements. The engine is 456 Fi V12. I agree the windows on these are not ideal but it makes the car lines flow better with them on. I may paint the frames black like the Willson P4 so they are not that visible.
 
Just a thought here... Back in my 20's I was helping with repairs and improvements to a 70 foot racing sailboat. Several of the hatches had curved see-through panels...but had become cracked and hazy. We made replacements with a type of clear acrylic using the old pieces as a mold. The acrylic could be heat formed (in an over at around 275 degrees as I recall) to the correct shape. We made some new molds as well out of wood then bondo then release coat on top. Trim the edges to fit them to the panel with 3M 5200 and boom - very nice replacements. Some of this type of technique may be applicable to your 330 windows.

Thank you for the tip. I have made templates of both sides out of cardboard and I'm having somebody build my windows and frames based on the templates. The plexiglass will be into a curved metal frame from both sides so if that doesn't give it the desired curve we may have to go with the heating method. Will post an update as soon as I have them on.
 
Hi Dee ....... Brian Kissel suggested you reach out to forum member Joel Heinke. I don't know if you have done so, however, I am visiting Joel in April. I am an English guy touring Utah and Northern Arizona for the month of April and meeting up with some car guys as part of our travels.
Joel has invited me and my partner to his home.
His car is a Ferrari 250 replica, so not a P4, but he researched the best way to build window frames and no doubt has some good feedback to offer.
I can talk to Joel and take some photo's, etc, if it is of any value to you.
