Takes about a week to drive from one end of the paddock to the other :-)

I'd like to see it in a tractor pull. I also wonder what the mileage is with a full load. Cool machine but wouldn't work in hilly country where there is a lot of side hill farming. Still, I'd like to have one.

A great example of farm mechanicing ! That tractor must of paid for itself several times over.

By sad coincidence the first farmer to come up with this concept, George Pryor, passed away very recently. (He made into his nineties though, RIP George.)
His twin Fordson Major tractor was further developed & productionised by the Fordson/Ford dealers Ernest Doe here in Essex as the Doe Dual Drive ( Triple D ) and went on to be exported worldwide.

All the best, Steve

Wish I had a Triple D tucked away somewhere, worth a fortune now!!!!
We`re all spoilt now, have GPS steering, accurate to 2cm, air conditioning, fridge, DAB radio the works, I would think my main tractor and drill would be the best part of 100k and yet we do 80 acres/day, he manages 50 acres/hour!! But then I wouldn`t fancy taking his drill down the local A road!!!!

You're right there Chris !, & to think people in the seventies thought they were being clever converting them into two tractors.

Cheers Steve

utube is dangerous.
I went on to check out the tractor.
I looked at other tractors
V12 german tank engines
V12 truck engines
M/Benz trucks being assembled
And a doco on cuttle fish, that was interesting.
