12v Inverter for ISIS

Allan commented in Aaron's build thread:

"ISIS had a bad batch of harnesses where the inverter was left out of the circuit. Everyone should check their harness to see if the little inverter is in there and then test the circuit if it is in there. It is supposed to be located about 6 inches back along the wire that is added to the master cell connector. There should be a bump in the harness where the inverter is.
It should work as the manual describes but the inverter has to be in there."

I am in the process of wiring now. I have my fans wired to the orange and tan wires for the fan control from the "front harness". I have searched my "cabin harness" for the bulge about 6" from its origin. No dice. Should I get an inverter from ISIS and splice into the Cabin harness tan and orange wire and place an inverter there or is there a better recommendation?

A less elegant but much cheaper option is to use a relay. Use the fan power wire from the GM control box for the relay trigger, then use the relay to ground the ISIS signal wire when the relay is powered.

Relay posts:
85 - Fan wire from GM box
86 - Ground
30 - Ground
87 - ISIS fan trigger wire

I used this setup for the A/C clutch circuit also.
