Rear Clam Shell slam catches

I have managed to procure a number of catches over the last couple of weeks. I need to get them cleaned up and report back.
I have some MK I and MKII Cortina latches. I will get some details of them side by side.

The ones I have are secondhand survivor pieces procured from Cortina groups on FB. My budget doesn't extend to NOS ones, and I would also feel bad hording those parts as they should go to either an original GT40 or a Concourse Cortina build. So I have a bit of cleaning to do before getting any measurements.

Clayton,

Thx much. I just placed an order for them. They are less expensive and shipping is very reasonable.

Cheers, Randy
Turns out Early Falcon Spares is not reliable. I placed an order for the Bobbins. Michael Hansen sent a hood latch. He said send the latch back and he would refund the shipping cost and send the Bobbins. I mailed the latch back and never heard from them again. Many emails. No response. Glad I used a good credit card. At least I got back the cost of the Bobbins. Lost $40 for the return shipping.

Im just awaiting dimensions of the actual slam catch thingy to make sure the dimensions are correct, then i will post it here when I find some time to finish a print for it.

I have been trying to get these cleaned up. The flash makes them look worst than they are.
First step as ultrasonic de-greasing.
Then a quick scrub and rinse.
Then I have had them soaking in Vinegar to remove rush, again in the ultrasonic cleaner.

There is 2 spotwelds that hold the front and back panels together.
The locking arm is held to the bottom plate only with a single solid rivet and what looks I bush in the there to space it apart correctly.
The central tube is welded in place.
The nuts are threaded 1/4" 28TPI.

Going through more drawings today, and noticed that these are also shown on page 129 of GT40 Uncovered.
FoMoCo part number 113E 16642A
Modified to work for the GT40.

Drawing number GT40P/1/2615 for the road car

GT40P/1/2560 for the race cars.
Any luck drawing the bracket that holds the latch?
