I personally have never seen square tail lights or conventional 3rd member differential in any GT40..
What say the collective?

Clearly one of the early front engined GT39s. In these cars the doors were sealed shut after the driver was in using one piece roundels. It was the only way to keep the driver from running away.

P/1010 was severely molicated in this event but the fellow rebuilt it.

I mean if you have a car like this, you can rebuild it and basically just keep the panel the vin plate is attached too. Most of the other parts can be replaced with exact copies.

What's that do to the history of the car, to have a car Adrian Newey crashed/rebuilt/owned, priceless

Curious to know when that crash occurred. Newey was driving this car at Daytona HSR this past November (2023). It looked to be a Gelscoe, could this be the rebuilt car?

Based on the photos above how can one tell if it's a Gelsco or 1960s tub?.
