Hi Bob,

The main reason I moved the A/R bar mount was to give more room for the exhaust between the body and chassis rail. The original mounts would have been OK, as they are only reacting the moment arm of the torsion load in the bar<o></o>

I couldn’t see how the exhaust would work with the suggested layout.
I think your setup is more practical.
I don’t really like the plastic mounts but I will probably leave them for the time being.
What I didn’t like at all was the way the thing was supported from just the one side.

Looking good Bob. You have got a lot done. You must have been weather dodging! I see what you mean about the anti roll bar mountings. Much better to do them properly out of the way of the exhaust. See you Wed at the meeting.

Well in spite of the weather I’ve been keeping busy. Thermal underwear’s a great invention!
I wanted to move the lower spring mount outboard further from the centre of the lower wishbone.
Seems to have worked out ok.
Also been cracking on with brakes and brake pipes.
Using Granada Scorpio discs at front.

At the rear it’s “standard” Granada Mk2 discs.
Nearly finished with the brake pipes and, as you can see, all four coil-overs in place.
It’s taking a while but considering the Manchester weather I’m quite pleased with how things are going.
As ever if you spot any cock ups please let me know!

Where did you buy the rear hand brake cables (all details welcome) - I have the same Wilwood MC4's as you know.

I’m afraid they are not a quick fit to our caliper.
Required a fair bit of chopping about.

Bob, thanks for the kind words, have a few update pictures but there are so many proper engineers with first class build threads like yourself, I felt mine was letting the side down a bit.

However I will always have, (mentioned at every opportunity) the fact that we with Mike, did get it though IVA at the 2nd attempt

Quick update.
Got the dash top fitted using a couple of screws each side.
I know it will be completely different with the screen in place but the removable top makes the build easier.

The eagle eyed amongst you will have spotted the “Ariel” on the switch panel.
Don’t worry.
Just testing for durability!

Good stuff Bob as usual. I like the non-reflective alcantara top to the dash. You will see (or nor see) the benefit on sunny days if we ever get any. The original style blower vent (Ford Zodiac Mk3?) looks good. I have just rebuilt a 650 cfm Holley double pumper for Alex Wong so his 600 cfm Holley double pumper should be available shortly. It's one I rebuilt for him a while back and ideal for a 302 so give him a bell if it's of interest.
Keep up the good work. I am reliably informed that summer will eventually appear!

That Alcantara is only a cheap substitute and it’s faded already.
I’ll buy some decent stuff later in the build.
Yes it’s an original Mk3 vent from good old eBay.
