Steering Column question....2 part..

1st question - what column is this that RCR installs in these superlites? This car was not delivered with any trim pieces to cover this thing up.

2nd,,, should the steering column be centered with the far hump that holds the digital display?

I am trying to install the seats so I can finalize the interior and this just looks ridiculous how far over this driver seat needs to be to line up with a steering wheel that isnt centered with the dash.

The harness slots dont even come close in this position.

If i run everything on center to the dash everything "kinda" makes sense.

After some searching the offset column deal seems to be normal. Now I just need to figure out what column this is so that the correct covers can be ordered.

Looks like you have the same column mine came with -- 1999 Olds Intrigue

I had the same issue with offset and others have as well. On mine, I re-drilled the mounting holes and shifted it over about 3/4 of an inch to center it in the dash opening. The most important part though, is to test-fit everything and sit in the car to make sure it feels right to you.

I moved it over 1/2" last night. Sorry it was maddening that none of this stuff lined up. Other than having to cut an access hole in the HVAC duct, it wasnt that big of a deal to move it, just irritating.
