Road legal GT40 interior pics

Hey,

I am planning on making my interior the same as the interior in the road version of the GT40.

Unfortunately I only manage to find 1 - 3 pictures of that kind and all of the pictures are pointed to the dashboard.

It would be of great help if you guys could help me in my search for those interior images.

Those pics are mine of my friends 66 Road Car. I was soo excited the first time I saw the car, I thought most would be interested in the parts they had never seen. The interior is pretty much like all the others you might have seen. The only noticeable difference is the cigarette lighter on the center console!! So I took pics of all the other parts of the car. Next time I am up there I will get some more shots. If I can get my 40 sorted enough to get it on the road(consistantly) I will be up there. He hasn't had a problem with his car as I am one of the few who has worked on it. I will ask him to send me some pics of the interior, but I wouldn't hold out too much for them as he is getting on in age and is not too good with a camera. If you are interested in any other shots, here is the photobucket album of the car.

Try asking Barry, he's restoring 1103 (see the http://www.gt40s.com/forum/original-gt40s/35430-1103.html thread) and has been very amiable to taking specific shots of parts of the car. Of course its a bit apart now but he may well have other shots he took but hasn't posted yet.

Very cool. This is the look we went for, but we copied a different car (1043) There are some photos of my car's interior on my build thread (1149). Also, if you look at Collector Cars: Significant Muscle, Exotic, Sports and Historic Race Cars at Colin's Classic Auto, there are a lot of good interior shots of 1043 on his site, although I think the car has been sold by now. That car has its original road car interior AFAIK.

To match an original Mk III road car you need to have, according to the road tests I have in my library, tangling seat belts, interior trim half un-glued, loose carpets sliding around, poor seats, and a generally shabby level of finish.
I think we should improve on this, for such a great car.
