Rare genuine original Italian Weber 48 IDA carburetors. These were fitted on a Ford 302, but have been on the shelf a couple of years so will require going through and a freshen up. Includes linkage, fuel regulator, fuel filter, fuel line and Marshall shock proof pressure gauge.
It appears there are no official Weber factory records of serial numbers cross referenced with manufacturing dates, but there has been some documentation compiled by enthusiasts. Such information suggests:
48 IDA-1s are rare and with low serial numbers (less than 350) seldom offered for sale. Thought to be made in 1963
46 IDA2 and IDA3 models seem to be the rarest. Thought to be made in 1965
48 IDA4s with serial numbers are uncommon and made between 1965 and 1970. After 1970 IDA4s were manufactured without serial numbers.
48 IDA4s and 48 IDA4Rs (no serial numbers) are common and have been counterfeited in mass at least twice, once cira 1972. And now the market is being flooded with counterfeit copies again.
These are rare IDA4's with Serial numbers 1213, 1286, 1616, 1821. It is thought that these were manufactured between 1966 and 1970.
