Pathfinder Motorsports has always been intrigued with the GT40 Mk IIB. As many of you know, the 'B' was the final and most refined version of the Ford-sponsored GT40s, and it represented the final iteration of the true GT40s. We've now created the first Safir-licensed Superformance Mk IIB continuation GT40.

Over six-months of effort has gone into P/2024's Mk IIB transformation, including collaboration with Lee Holman of Holman Moody. This car features a few original GT40 components, Holman Moody engine and suspension upgrades, essential and outstanding Olthoff Racing updates, and dozens of special modifications that add to this car's authenticity.
We will provide more details about this car in the future, as well as some exciting new builds that we are creating on spec. In the meantime, P/2024 is posted FOR SALE in the 'GT40s For Sale' Forum. There you will find much more information and lots of photos.

GT40P/2024 MK IIB '427'
Of interest to members of the Superformance community, P/2024 is also an especially collectable GT40 for another reason: It was originally Superformance SPG001B - the first Superformance GT40 chassis number (SPG001 having been sent back to the factory and disassembled) and fully recognized as such by Safir GT40 Spares and the SAAC GT40 Register! Its chassis number for registration purposes is now the official Safir-issued GT40 continuation number GT40P/2024.
This GT40 has numerous Mk IIB features like the 'B' dashboard, which was unique from every earlier Mk I and Mk II (see photo below). This dash was so successful that it was carried over to the Mk IV 'J' cars at Le Mans. A few Mk IIB features are not shown in our photos. For example, the original-style brake outlet blocking plates for the front end. They were used primarily for endurance racing when heated air from the radiator was routed to the front brake rotors to prevent cracking. These can be installed at the new owner's discretion.
