Hi Guys,
New to this site and I recently purchased a partially built GT-R from Ed Johnson on this board. I completed a couple of frame off resto-mods but this is my first shot at an RCR car. Its a bit of a challenge taking up where someone else left off.
Right now I'm trying to learn as much as possible about the car, what needs to be completed, and figure out where to source parts. I have also been reviewing many of the builds on this site. There are some really nice cars here so its certainly been a learning curve.
If any of you fellow GT-R builders are close to me (within a few states drive anyway from Southern California) I would love the opportunity to meet someone else either going down this rabbit hole, or maybe someone who has already built one. I really don't want to jump into this until I fully understand how it should be built.
Regards,
Rob Hurley....
BTW - Thank you to Fran at RCR, Chris at Arden Cars, and Scott at Superformance. I had originally planed to purchase a GT40 rolling chassis (I still want one) for my project and all three of these gentlemen took time out of their day for me to tour their shops prior to my purchase. All three have great cars and each has their own individual niche. I would not hesitate to purchase a car from any of them in the future.
