GT 40 seat material Leather? Alcantara?

I would like your guys opinion on Seat material - reason i have never driven in a GT 40 and dont know. What is more comfortable? also concerned about the heat--Leather can be not so cool, Alcantara seems ok but doesn't look very durable-i would like your opinion. Maybe not leather or Alcantara?

I would go for real leather. I have just given my real leather seats a clean and leather feed after 15 years (pic attached). The hard bit was cleaning all those eyelets - a real toil. I find that the seats get two kinds of wear. Wear on the bottom from feet getting in and out and sliding wear on the seat back getting in and out. I think fake leather will deteriorate and delaminate eventually. and then what do you do with all the eyelets etc. Alcantara is good for friction but in a 40 there is nowhere to slide to. Also you need to slide up and down getting in and out and this would be made difficult with higher friction and I suspect it would not do the alcantara much good.
Cheers

These are how the race seats looked, made out of Parachute material. You can get them from a couple different vendors

My seats were in the car when I got it but they are Frank Catt - Wealden Engineering seats. Aluminium shells.
Cheers
