CAV Mk1 Replica - worth the money they are asking?

As a guess, I’d say no. I can’t imagine a replica going for that amount. But I could be wrong. I can’t pull it up on my phone, but that’s a lot of money.
When I can see it better later tonight I’ll look again.
I’m sure others will chime in on this and may have a better response.

The list of parts is impressive. Could be the price reflects how much was spent on the build (probably built for, not by the owner). Guessing they spared no expense for a true race car and then realized they couldn’t drive it. The lack of carpet and molded seats says a lot about the priorities. The posting also mentions a custom frame to accommodate a taller driver. The owner might have found out that didn’t help much with getting in and out of the car.

Not based on the market and what cars are selling for. Following BaT auctions for SPF and ERA cars for the past 3 years, this is very far from reality. Maybe the POA price was in a different currency! :) OBTW, there is a very nice CAV on Hemings for $149K - been sitting there for 6 months.

Not familiar with the car but familiar with the quality of work done by Taylor Automotive, second to none.

Rich, where did you get that figure from ? Totally overstated , Ring Geoff for the real facts !
Frank and all others, apologies, I have misled you all by posting the wrong link

This was the car I was asking about …

I realise now that the two cars are are completely different beasts. The 1st is a replica whilst the 2nd is a continuation model with a great history.

Apologies again. I’ll be more careful next time
