289/302 engine stand dimensions...

I'm getting my engines soon and want to make some engine stands on dolly wheels to hold the engines. Can anybody supply the correct dimensions for the engine mounts for a 289/302 ford V8 so I can get a frame made up?

Might be worth checking out machine mart first as I think I paid £40 for mine and it allows you to rotate the block a full 360.

Thanks Brian.... thats what I need but trying to find a supplyer in UK.

Murray... lol dont ask... I now have a 2005 302 racing engine (450 bhp), a 1972 351W short block and now also a 1966 HiPo engine....

Paul.... might be the way to go and just get a hoist thing although it will be a few months before chassis arrives and am planning to 'use' the engine and gearbox as a coffee table, complete with smoked glass top on the webers.... can you tell i live alone...lol

I built a wooden box with leftover 2x6 I had laying around,
and added (4) cheap casters to the bottom....total cost
(even if I bought the wood new) was under $ 20.

The metal stands advertised in Jegs/Summit are nice...but now you can buy cheaper (imported) versions for $ 30 in the US....
so I doubt I'll be making any more from wood.
